I have bought this charger and each of the three times I received and subsequently returned it, it was received defective, i.e. would not charge my 72v bank of golf cart batteries. Why does the manufacturer continually send defective product out to customers?

When I first used this charger it worked well , but the AC noise was deafening . Rather than go through the hassle of returning it I spent a couple of hours replacing the loose transformer to base rivets with machine screws , and made an aluminum clamp to tighten the laminations . It is quiet now and I have used it extensively since to charge the 72v battery pack in my plug-in electric Nissan Micra . I would certainly buy another .

After ordering on Amazon it arrived in a timely fashion and well packaged.Unfortuntely it didn't work at all....I called the mfg and they were no help at all, Amazon easily issued a return slip and I ordered another one....unfortunately it didn't work either.....I returned it for full credit.....two for two and no battery charger yet...stay awy from this junk.

I recently purchased the Stanley Jump Start for myself, and what a great item this is. Totally portable, charges off a common extension cord into your own outlet(s). Not too heavy, many features like a light attachment, a USB port, neatly accomodates the cables. Well worth the price, and I found out about it from my AAA service for dead car batteries. I love it when people share great buys.

For some 10 years or so I have been using the earlier Makita cordless stick broom with the 7.2 volt nickel cadmium, removable battery. It works well, and in fact I still have it. The big problem is the very expensive, low-quality batteries that Makita and competitors sell. It doesn't matter whether you buy branded or non-branded batteries. Over the ten years I must have spent over $300 on them. The vacuum is designed for a 7.2 volt battery but it also takes the 9.6 volt version, which I used for the extra suction. But after 6 to 9 months, the battery would go flat in a week, even when not in use. Soon after that it would not hold a charge for even a few days, and I had to buy another, for about $40.

Overall, I like this vac, but I expected more for the price.
First, the Pros: 1) longer handle than other cordless models by Black & Decker, Eureka, etc. I was able to reach the floor with the long section attached with a little bending (I'm 5' 11"); this is a big convenience, as opposed to crawling on the floor or constantly bending up & down to reach low spots. 2) the suction got weaker pretty fast, which I thought was some kind of problem, but when I checked the dirt bin, it was full; I'm amazed at how much it sucked up so quickly. 3) it's easy to get the dirt bin off, just twist & pull. Fortunately, it has a raised edge in that area, which allows easier gripping of the section to be removed. 4) the swivel head of the floor piece makes it easy to maneuver quickly. 5) the battery charged quickly in about 20 minutes, very good compared with some other vacs.

To be able to do a quick vacuum with terrific suction and without having to mess with cords and a heavy machine, is incredible REFRESHING! Especially when you have 3 small children who keep you on the run with CRUMBS and tracking stuff in from outside!!! Some people have complained about the switch you have to keep your finger on to keep it on, I find it convenient. It's where my finger would be anyhow and it's a very light push to keep it going. It allows me to turn it on and off very quickly. When I come to something I do not want vacuumed, I can skip over it more easily. The battery charges very fast and it runs for a good 15 to 20 minutes. This is great when compared to my old one that took hours to charge and never seems to be ready when Iwas ready nor did it have the suction that this one has.
