We needed 12Vdc vehicle power while in the lab and in the field for testing off the vehicle. It charges quickly, holds a charge for months and is light and compact. Last summer my wife called to say she was first in a left turn lane on a busy expressway and her car stalled and would not start. I grabbed to JNC300XL where it had set for months without a charge and off I went. I connected it to her battery and it provided plenty of power to turn over her fair sized V6 engine and start the car. The nice thing is it was a quick hook up. I wasn't in the middle of a busy road trying to get my car close enough to her car to string a couple of jumper cables. It is great for powering gadgets that normally plug into a cigarette lighter for power. You unplug the "flashlight" on the front of the unit to access the cigarette lighter plug. I bought 3 of these, then 2 more for Christmas gifts. They are easy to use and much more dependable than the cheap imports with lots of whistles and bells.... I prefer the larger unit for my dodge 1500 with a V-8 (I've jumped it 5 or 6 times between charges without a problem... electrical trouble...) This smaller unit is great for our Toyota 4 cylinder cars and Chrysler Concorde with a 3.5 6 cylinder. These beat the heck out of jumper cables, and my daughter and wife don't have to ask strangers for help... or wait for AAA. This item saved me from having my Auto Club telling me, "SORRY, YOU HAVE CALLED US TOO MANY TIMES". Keep Your Batteries Charged and Maintained

With the NOCO G3500, you can restore batteries to their original capacity, recover slightly sulfated batteries, charge batteries in cold climates, rescue drained batteries, and give your battery maintenance charges. As a result, you can extend the life of your battery and improve its capacity. Different modes allow you to charge large batteries for cars, trucks, boats, and RVs as well as small batteries found in motorcycles, ATVs, jet skis, and snowmobiles.

Eight-Step Charging Process

The NOCO G3500 uses an advanced eight-step process to charge and maintain your battery. First, it checks your battery's voltage to make sure that the connections are good and that the battery is in stable condition before beginning the charge process. Second, it initializes a recovery process, if needed, for deeply discharged or sulfated batteries by pulsing small amounts of current. Next, it begins a bulk-charging process with a gentle (soft) charge. The process then continues using both a high-rate and medium-rate charge returns 80 percent of the battery's capacity.

From there, the G3500 brings the charge level to 100 percent and continues to deliver only enough current to keep the battery full. Finally, it monitors the battery voltage to determine whether a maintenance charge should be initiated. The maintenance cycle is repeated to keep the battery at full charge, without overcharging, and the charger can be left connected indefinitely.

Switch-Mode Design with Advanced Features

The NOCO G3500 features a high-frequency, high-efficiency switch-mode design, resulting in a charger that's compact and lightweight. An auto-memory function returns the charger to the last selected mode when you restart it. These things are just more then what you can read about. To say the least these truly are very smart chargers. They also do really charge faster then any other charger I have ever used. I use them to charge all our power wheel batteries, I have to/try to keep up with 17 batteries. The kids can wear out a battery and this will have it back to 100% in 2 hours (nap time). All the safety feature are truly a must having these around the kids as well. I recommend these to anyone who owns any type of battery. As far as the charging of power wheels batteries go, make a quick connect you will thank yourself. I current use it to maintain my motorcycle batteries which are smaller 12V and 6V batteries and it does awesome job of bringing them up to full capacity. I have even used it on my RV battery and it work great too. It takes longer with the big batteries, which is to be expected at the 3.5A max rating. Overall the ease of use and built in safety features allow me to hook it up and walk away knowing when ever I return to check on the battery I will find it charged and ready to go.
