Jumpstarting, Air Compression and DC Power All in One
The Schumacher IP-95C is a combination DC powered Jump Starter, Air Compressor and external 12-volt power source, that goes wherever you do. Built around a powerful 12-volt, 9Ah, AGM battery, the IP-95C generates 650 peak Amps which can funneled into the onboard jumpstarter rated at 170A @ 5 seconds. Jumpstarting events utilize a convenient on/off switch at the front of the unit, as well as two 18" battery leads that wrap out of the way when not in use. In addition, the unit's charge can also be used to power all manner of DC powered devices via the unit's 12 Volt DC outlet and a user-supplied DC power adapter. The IP-95C also possesses a 150 psi air compressor capable of up to 10 minutes of use at a time, and also a USB port suitable for charging popular handheld devices.
Safety and Convenience of Maintenance Mode Charging
External 12-volt power sources are a must-have accessory for any driver who spends a decent amount of time on the road, but like any battery-based tool, for all their uses they are only as good as the charge they carry when you need them. For this reason most require an ongoing schedule of monitoring and recharging by owners in order to maintain a proper charge without damaging the internal battery, but the Schumacher IP-95C is different. Its built-in charger, fed by an extension cord (sold separately) features Maintenance Mode charging. Maintenance Mode charging is a smart charging cycle that initially charges your battery at an efficiently high rate up to a preset level, at which point charging ceases. When the battery eventually drops below this level again, another less powerful charging cycle begins that is just powerful enough to raise the battery back to the preset optimal charge level. This smart charging does not pose a risk of overcharging, and so enables you to leave your Schumacher IP-95C plugged in all the time. It will always be ready when you toss it in the car and go.

I bought this product Schumacher IP-95C Jump Starter and I am totatly disapointed with it. It has failed everytime to jump start any vehicle with dead battery. Before I purchased this, I was stranded on the Lake with a dead battery and I was introduced to this type of compact jump starter when someone offered to help. They had a Duralast brand and it jump started my V-8 boat with no problem. I was stupid and went with what I thought was a much better brand. No Way!! I am stuck with this piece of crap and absolutely no support from Schumacher. They would not even let me pay the difference to upgrade to higher amp hour unit. Their ridiculous response was that these units are not designed to start dead batteries????????? The only way I can interpret this is this unit will only work if your battery is still turning your starter. What good does this do if your battery is not turning starter!!!!This unit will do nothing if you are getting a click click click from your starter. The biggest... I used my other cars to jump start it a few times but this is so much easy and better! once I started using the car it died at rush hour just off the exit ramp in a very busy intersection, on a dark and rainy night. I used the Schumacher IP-95C and was able to get out of that dangerous situation and managed to get the rest of the way home safely. No trying to get another car into an already busy and congested intersection, just raise the hood and connect this product and that was it. it. The car started immediately and I quickly got out a very dangerous situation. I've jumped the car battery twice and I love the fact that an extension cord plugs right in with no hunting for the right wall charger to use. I'll bet there are 6 different ones in the garage, for weed whackers etc. I also love the fact that it is so light. The old one was tough for me to lift out of the car with my bad back. Still haven't had the need to use the CSB port. But I'm sure I'll need to charge my cell phone one of these day's out in the woods fishing. So far I would highly recommend it to anyone, with the exception of my son!. |
